It’s the second Sunday of the month! Abolition Sunday is a monthly deep dive and discussion on the topic of Abolition: What is it? What is its history? Is it even possible?

The United States is the world’s leader in incarceration.

“There are 2.2 million people in the nation’s prisons and jails—a 500% increase over the last 40 years, despite increasing evidence that large-scale incarceration is not an effective means of achieving public safety.” – The Sentencing Project

The PIC is a system that claims to resolve a problem (the problem of “crime”) but that in fact relies on and reproduces that problem, industriously and often, profitably.
