Indivisible Illinois believes that voting should be safe, secure and accessible to all. The COVID19 pandemic challenged every election authority in our Nation to take measures to ensure public safety while also fulfilling their duty to count every vote. In Illinois, grassroots advocated for and passed temporary vote by mail legislation to that helped to expand voter options for the Presidential Elections. The new temporary law which expires December 31, 2020 included among other things, easier access to vote early and to vote by mail. Indivisible Illinois gave weekly Facebook Live updates with guest speakers to encourage voters to vote early and to vote by mail. Events also highlighted grassroots activities into Wisconsin with the Wisconsin Democrats and the Wisconsin Coordinated Campaign.
